Most types of runner beans will establish as perennials in a climate that
does not have severe frosts-- not sure if yours qualifies. Even if they
don't establish, they sow easily and will completely cover a fence, provide
hummingbird and butterfly and bee food, and the pods and seeds are both
edible and good stock fodder.
