There are none. Changing your oil regularly and using the latest API grade
will provide sufficient protection. It is extreme cases that synthetic
helps out. Cases such as towing a heavy trailer in the desert
summer. People that I have talked with and are not sucked in by the hype
have had good luck with engine longevity. Another oft mentioned benefit is
that engines do run cooler when under load. I do not know.
