Ray, my posit is this: There's no need to instill the desire to learn in a
child. He was born with that.
What happens in schools is like a waterhose with the spigot fully open.
Schools and schooling take up this hose and crimp it off, then relax it a
little
to let SOME water through and then view themselves as if they were the source
of the water.
I submit that what is really happening is that you are not instilling a
desire to learn, but rather trying to tear down the schooling induced blocks
to
learning.
I found it to be dismal work once I understood what was really afoot.
