A good time to stay away from RE purchases unless we
luck into a bargain or into the ideal place for us.
If that platitude becomes the next mantra of exposure-seeking
economists, then buyers will hold back and then, when prices start
rising strongly again, will panic that they might be waiting too long
and will either make foolish purchases or become too afraid to do
anything but continue to rent. Which will make investors very happy.
During my many years in real estate I was most disappointed with how
buyers knee-jerk to emotional factors rather than do their due
diligence and make decisions based on facts. Master bedrooms sell a
lot of homes.
