The two Alpine-Nubian cross doelings that I just bought should freshen
in March. I've had them a week and it's been a tough week for them,
what with the new herd and all. I think that they are doing fine. I
can just describe them as skittish. They still won't eat from a feed
bucket. I'm interested in how ya'll would work them towards letting
me milk them in the spring.
Also, they are already bred to the Boer buck, so those offspring will
show me if they are decent meat producers of inferior. I don't expect
to keep any of them for milk.
