Not a dream, and the stats are online but I didn't look at them to begin
with, I called my cousin who lives there! The stats say that on average
(this not being an average year), Coos Bay gets rain every single month of
the year. Heaviest rain in November and December (10.36, 10.42), January
(9.54), Feb. (8.12), March (7.94), Apr. (5.19), May (3.4), June (1.72), July
(.51), Aug. (.88),Sept (1.73) and Oct. (4.62).
There is plenty of water from snowmelt from the Coastal Range. I LIVE in
the Coastal Range! Del Norte and Humboldt are about shoved into the ocean
by the Coastal Range. They get plenty of snowmelt! The Coastal Range as a
whole averages 40" of rain a year plus snow. All those resevoirs and rivers
are only there because of the snowmelt. Where in the world did you get such
a ludicrous idea as there is no snowmelt from the Coastal Range?
And, having lived in all those places, I am sticking to what I know. AND I
also know that you choose where you live. If you didn't do your homework,
oh well. However, it was a choice and you bitch and moan continually about
it. If you don't like it, then sell and move!

This is a dream. There's no rain happening "year 'round" in Coos Bay.
The stats are online. South of here it's only drier.
