I can't remember exactly where I read it -- NYT, I think -- but I was
reading about Costco and was appalled that Wall Street types were
criticizing them heavily for supplying health insurance with too little
employee contribution and keeping wages too high and prices too low.
And this at a time when Costco stock is valued higher than Wal-Mart's.
In a country that has supposedly agreed that private companies should fund
health care, can anyone guess what's wrong with this picture?
I'd bet the analysts haven't had to buy health insurance on the open market
any time lately.
