Funny how THIS story is being ignored. Well, there's really nothing funny
about it.
I am disgusted with newspapers and television news groups that posture
as reliable news reporting sources but have lowered their standards to the
point of irresponsible entertainment. It's one thing to offer cheap
entertainment as long as that is made obvious. But to report serious
matters without proof is borderline criminal.
This is not a political party gambit, although both sides are quick to
seize on any opportunity, no matter how sleazy or opportunistic. This is
about news organizations whose standards have dropped below the acceptable
level. News organizations have always gone for the scoop. Now they go for
the quick and the cheap. There should be criminal malfeasance charges in
some of these cases.
Not that the triggering story here is to be believed or disbelieved. The
NBC version may be the truth or it may simply be their version of a gotcha
scoop. All was fair in love and war. We must now include politics and news.
