Mycoplasmas are present in urine, particularly in folks who have UTIs, PID
and a couple of other problems including some heart problems.
Urine is only sterile if none of the above are present AND you use a cath
for collection. Urine is frequently, particularly in females, cross
contamination with fecal matter.
