How about a few more.
"The Peoples History of the American Revolution" by Ray Raphael has a very
interesting chapter on who was and who was not a patriot and the many
reasons why. The section on the Green Mountain Boys was very revealing.
"The Urban Crucible" by Gary Nash tells the story of the economics behind
the revolution by comparing Boston, Philadelphia, and New York. Gary Nash
has several books out that cover new ground on the Revolution but this is
the only one I have read.
"The Many Stories of History" by Ozment and Turner.
:Virgin Land: the American West as Symbol and Myth" by Henry Nash Smith.
