Marvelous progress indeed.
Countless centuries ago those who could see into the mysteries of the
universe described it as being bound by four forces, or essences. They did
not have an artificial jargon language at their disposal to come up with
such terms as 'electromagnetism' so when pressed to describe what these four
forces were, they called them 'Earth' [strong force], 'Fire'
[electromagnetism], 'Air' [weak force], and 'Water' [gravity].
