The easiest of all sails to handle is the Chinese Lug Rig. It uses
fully battened sails which Mama San simply drops to the deck while Papa
San sucks up rice wine below decks.
This boat is supremely easy to build, using sewn and epoxied seams, and
though trailerable fully capable of single-handing in a transatlantic
passage. And of course it makes a fine lake or inland waterway day-sailer.
