RESCHEDULED from 3/13! Learn about the domestic production of Chinese medicinal herbs. Jean Giblette of High Falls Gardens will give a presentation on this exciting emerging market for farmers
and growers. High Falls Foundation has received funding from the New York State Farm Viability Institute to form a farmers' cooperative in NYS to begin production of Chinese medicinal herbs on a commercial scale. There is increasing demand for domestically
grown Chinese medicinal herbs, and a cooperative in Virginia formed several years ago and is now selling their products to U.S. practitioners. This presentation will provide information to farmers and growers that may want to explore this opportunity further.
Cost: $5-$10/person self-determined sliding scale. Call Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County at (607) 272-2292 to register by phone,
or register online here.
