What: Trumansburg & Taughannock Creeks- What's In Your Watershed?
Presentations will address questions like,
"How can bans on hydrofracking protect water quality?", "What
kinds of aquatic life can be supported in Trumansburg and Taughannock
Creeks?", "How does the sewage treatment plant impact Trumansburg
Creek?" and "What can I do to protect my watershed?".
The Community Science Institute has partnered with
volunteers to monitor Trumansburg and Taughannock Creek watersheds since 2006.
Volunteers sample 19 locations in the Trumansburg and Taughannock Creek
watersheds. All results are published in the CSI database online at http://communityscience.org/database. CSI is supported in part by the Town of Ulysses, the
Town of Hector and Tompkins County.
