EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING COORDINATOR ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES & SCIENCES
Ithaca College is looking for a part-time (12 - 15 hours per week during the academic year), temporary (November 2011 – May 2013) coordinator to support the experiential learning activities for the Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences. Activities include field trips, faculty-student research projects, internships, community-based partnerships, and short-term study abroad programs. Required support includes arranging vehicles, maintaining qualified driver pool, processing supply requisitions, tracking expenses, coordinating research assistant employment, and working with faculty and administrative staff on all aspects related to such activities. Many of these activities are currently offered through the Committed-to-Change grant.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree and a minimum of 3 years previous office experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications; excellent attention to detail; strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; logistics coordination experience; ability to prioritize projects, work independently, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines required. Bachelor’s Degree in a natural science, budget transaction experience, and experience working in a college or university is preferred.
