Identifying Summer Diseases of Garden Vegetables
Wednesday, Aug. 24, 6:30-8:30 pm at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County, 615 Willow
Avenue, Ithaca NY
Diseases affecting vegetables can be difficult to identify, particularly
in tomatoes, potatoes, and cucurbits, and are especially challenging when
issues like drought and nutritional deficiencies occur. Dr. Thomas
Zitter, Cornell University plant pathologist, will lead this workshop for
the home gardener. Dr. Zitter will show fresh samples or color
images, and will discuss detection and identification of summer vegetable
diseases, and possible control measures. Fee: $5/person,
please pre-register. Call Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins
County at 607-272-2292 for more information or to reserve a seat.
