A little note about me:
My name is Wendi Bellows and I am a Ph.D. student in Interdisciplinary
Ecology at the University of Florida and have been a permie for more
than 10 years. That is why I am undertaking social research related to
Permaculture for my dissertation. I have noticed that Permaculture has
remained on the fringe of the mainstream since its birth in the 1970s.
Therefore, a main focus of my dissertation research is to discover and
better understand the barriers of diffusion of Permaculture to more
mainstream farmer populations in the U.S. and Australia. I would like to
make this process as inclusive and helpful to the Permaculture movement
as possible.
Thank you!
