SPECIAL SEMINAR
Recent horticulture graduate student Erin Marteal is recently back
from her Dreer Award study of permaculture in Australia, New Zealand
and Trinidad.
Please join us for this special seminar, Permaculture & Public Gardens,
on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13 from 12:15-1:15PM in 462 KENNEDY HALL.
What’s green about a chicken? Find out what a chicken can teach us and
so much more in this talk by 2010 Dreer Award recipient Erin Marteal,
who travelled to Australia, New Zealand, and Trinidad exploring the
relationship between permaculture and public gardens. What is
permaculture? And where does it belong within the contemporary context
of public gardens, landscapes and environmental education? These
questions will be discussed against a backdrop of colorful photos from
around the world.
Everyone is welcome.
