Urban Farmer wanted: Capital District Community Gardens www.cdcg.org ,
operates The Produce Project, an entrepreneurial job training program for
High School students in Upstate New York. Under the Farmers supervision,
students use high tunnels and other season extension techniques to grow
organic vegetables and sell them to local restaurants through much of the
year. Students receive food and monetary stipends for their participation.
The Farmer should have practical experience, organic preferred, in farm
management from composting to market sales. The right candidate must be
comfortable working with youth; past teaching or training experience
necessary. This is a year-round position with excellent benefits and a
