28, 12 Noon - 1:00 pm Compost Demonstration Site at Ithaca Community Gardens, at the
entrance to the Ithaca Farmers' Market
Master Composter volunteers from Tompkins County Cornell Cooperative
Extension will provide information and give hands-on demonstrations to
help you set up and manage a compost system in any setting. This class
also will cover compost maturity and uses. How do you know when your
compost is ready to use? And if it is ready, what are some of the ways
you can use it? Bring your composting questions! Sign-up for this
FREE class by emailing Liz Falk at
erf59 AT cornell.edu, calling (607)
272-2292, or just drop in on your way to or from the Ithaca Farmers'
Market on Saturday!
NOTE: Class time for the FREE Compost With Confidence
Workshops will change to 10:00 - 11:00 am in September
2010. Remaining workshops in this year's series will be offered on
September 25 ("Stealth" Composting (double-bin,
indoor system) and October 30 (Preparing Your Compost Bin
for Winter)
