Why does Google translate offer "me from" as a possible tranlation of  בעדי ?

Beats me. It might be modern Hebrew.

Modern Hebrew is a very different creature from Biblical Hebrew—different grammar, different vocabulary, different spelling, different expressions, etc. I don’t know modern Israeli Hebrew, nor other cognate languages, hence my understanding of Biblical Hebrew is uncontaminated from such sources.

All I know is that such a use is never found in Biblical Hebrew. My answer is based on Biblical Hebrew, not other cognate languages.
