You may also want to consider the implications for the translation of Psalm
82 and its reference in the NT at John 10:34.

It is not a fringe Jewish translation. That is how Stone Tanach translates
it.
If you translate El Gibbor as "mighty judge" here, you would need to do the
same in 10:21, which clearly refers back to Isa 7 Shear Jashub.
