Presumably, if we follow some ideas about Jewish conspiracies of the Middle
Ages,
they deliberately falsified their own texts at that time so that Christians
could emend their owns...
I can provide references for that kind of (crazy) ideas.
Do you think the dagesh is a phonetic sign or a conspiracy?
In the latter case, against whom?
