Petr Tomasek: How would you explain for example w-pf used in
conditional clauses where BOTH, the protasis and the apodosis are are
beginning with this form?
On a second thought, the correlation between Hebrew and Russian is
even closer in this case. Not only the Russian employs two future
tense verbs in conditional clauses, but prepositions are also the same
as in deictic center shits.
A Russian narration's conditional clause would sound like:
А как сделаешь это, то и наступит то.
Literally,
And as you will do this, then and that will happen.
"As" and "and" are also used in Russian deictic center shift:
И как взмахнет он тогда мечом.
Literally,
And as he would draw his sword at that time.
