the vocalization is u-veraxti-xa
or *u-birrakti-ka (with older vowels and consonants)
(accent on -ti happens with the vav-prefix in context, and also
happens without vav but with suffix pronoun.)
In addition to what Petr mentioned, the "Russian theory" doesn't
explain open-ended pasts like Gn 29:2-10,
where yashqu and ve-hishqu refer to past habituals.
And the narrative form vayyagel ... vayyashq show a different
morphology from *yagol/*yagil and yashqe.
