has been upgraded to a version dated 19 July 2009. (The URL no longer
requires a final /Tanach.xml.)
The text is from the Westminster Leningrad Codex Version 4.12 of 5 Aug
2009. The new version has 446 changes in vowels (416 of these changes
are due to the introduction of the holam haser, see below.), 15 changes
in accents, 34 changes in notes (including 5 new note types), and 68
changes in morphological divisions.
The site now contains the Unicode 5.1 "HOLAM HASER FOR VAV" character
(x05ba) for improved typography.
A possibility of changing the site's Hebrew font has been incorporated.
With an appropriate choice of free fonts very good rendering is
obtainable on all operating systems.
Internal changes make the site viewable on Apple Safari 4.0+ and Google
Chrome browsers.
