Subject: [b-hebrew] REVISED: Displaying text from the Unicode/XML Westminster Leningrad Codex on Mac OS X systems

On Mac OS X systems the built-in and free "TextEdit" editor Version 1.5
(244) can display Hebrew text from the Unicode/XML Westminster Leningrad
Codex at
1. Set the font to SBL Hebrew. "Format" -> "Font" -> "Show Fonts" ->
"SBL Hebrew". The keyboard short cut
"Apple T" will also bring up the font window. This is a good
place to set the font size.
2. Set the text direction to Right to Left. "Format" -> "Text" ->
"Writing Direction" -> "Right to Left".
Then copy and paste the text from the Firefox browser into TextEdit.
If you've pasted the text before making the settings, select all of the
pasted text with "Edit" -> "Select All" or the "Apple A" shortcut, then
do the settings.
