A high school or college English teacher doesn't detect plagiarism by
comparing
two texts. Instead, the teacher observes that a portion of the
submitted text
is "out-of-character" for the student. (I've seen really humorous
examples of this.
Maybe someone could provide a current example.) Then, the process
continues by discussing
the text with the student or by searching for the original document.
The split of Isaiah is analogous. Part B is "out-of-character" (in some
sense) with the text of part A.
The person doing the splitting defines and justifies what constitutes
"out-of-character".
