One finds in the biblical text the kind of alternance qamats/patah /
qamats/tsere for the Qal past, basic form, with quite the same meaning.
As, for instance, in )FHAB (Gn 37:3) vs )FH"B (Gn 27:14), to love.
Do you know other instances of this alternance patah / tsere for the second
syllable of the Qal perfect, 3rd person singular masculine?
