This was dependent on the manuscript, and it is possible that
one manuscript will clarify what another did not. The above refers

Note also the ga(ya (metheg) under the first Sade, from which
you can understand that the vowel is long - [,cɔ:-'lalu:] as
compared to [,qɔ:f-'?u:] in Exodus 15:8: http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml#Ex15:8
But you don't always get the hataf patax "hint" and sometimes it
looks just like the second case. For example, the [,lɔ:'-qaqu:] in http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml#1%20Kings21:19
