Dear colleagues, please excuse cross-posting. We would appreciate if you
could circulate this information among your colleagues and librarians.
The Theological Seminary at Adventist International Institute of
Advanced Studies is proud to announce the publication of the first
number of volume 9 of the /Journal of Asia Adventist Seminary/ (ISSN
1908--4862), formerly /Asia Adventist Seminary Studies/ (ISSN
0119--8432). Over the past ten months of planning and reformulating the
publishing policies of /JAAS/, significant changes have occurred,
including the decision to publish two issues per year (instead of only
one) and, most significantly, the establishment of a rigorous
peer-review process that will guarantee quality research in the areas of
biblical and theological studies (including its relevant
subdisciplines). For this purpose we are delighted that more than thirty
prominent international scholars have agreed to participate in our
international review board. These scholars represent a global community
of biblical scholarship (Africa, North America, South America, Europe,
and Asia), different areas of expertise, and many renowned universities
and seminaries (such as New York University [USA], University of
Wisconsin [USA], Copenhagen Lutheran School of Theology [Denmark],
Kenyatta University [Kenya], Fribourg University [Switzerland], Andrews
University [USA], McMaster Divinity College [Canada], Fuller Theological
Seminary [USA]).
Together with these far-reaching changes in editorial policies we have
also redesigned both the cover as well as the inside of the journal to
provide an esthetically appealing product which will speak to an
international community of students, professors, and pastors in the
twenty-first century. Each volume will cover c. 100 pages, including
major articles and shorter research notes, AIIAS thesis and dissertation
abstracts, as well as a number of critical book reviews.
