Hi Yitzhak!
You stated well what I was implying about circular arguments: they
demonstrate internal consistency. However, this can't always be bad --
especially when the data does not allow external verification. As you
rightly point out, circular argument does not and should not guarantee the
veracity of the argument -- it can't. But sometimes, the data doesn't allow
any other type of argument.
