I have recently updated my article on Noah's Flood (from a Secular Humanist
viewpoint) with a brief exposition on the "problems" of establishing a
chronology for the Flood (and of the Creation of the World). The problems?
The Bible exists in differing recensions (Alexandrian LXX, Vaticanus LXX,
Samaritan Pentateuch, Massoretic Text, Latin Vulgate) that preserve
differing ages for the pre and post-flood patriarchs, also scholars differ
among themselves as to what is the "correct methodology" in adding up the
ages appearing in these _contradicting_ recensions. If intersted, cf. the
