Hi Steve
The Moses = Beya theory was completely made redundant by Grandet's publication of an ostraca which says
"Year 5, 3 shemu, day 27. This day the scribe of the Tomb, Paser, has come to say - Pharao has killed the great enemy, Bay".
The pharaoh here is Siptah for, prior to this publication, the last attestation of Beya was in year 4 of Siptah
