The (hexadecimal) Unicode constants for characters in a selected text
from the Unicode/XML Tanach can now be easily obtained. Unicode
constants are of the form &#xnnnn;* *and can be copied directly into
conventional editors. When the Unicode constants are inserted into HTML
pages, they display the actual Unicode characters.
The Unicode constants for a particular text can be determined only in
the Verses layout. Any desired Content (Accents, Vowels, Consonants,
Morphology) may be used, however. Select the Hebrew text in the usual
manner of selecting text on the browser and release the mouse button.
Because of browser differences, some experimentation in selecting the
text and initiating the conversion may be necessary. This should pop up
a window titled "Selected Hebrew text as Unicode constants" showing both
the selected Hebrew text and the corresponding Unicode constants. If it
doesn't, try a slow, single click on the selected text.
Please report difficulties.
