Subject: [b-hebrew] Netscape 8.0 caution for Unicode/XML Tanach.
Date: Fri, 20 May 2005 15:02:18 -0400
In looking for yet another browser on which to maintain the Unicode/XML
Tanach, I downloaded the free Netscape 8.0 browser to Windows 2000.
This browser has the potentially valuable feature of allowing the user
to view content in either Mozilla Firefox or IE6 rendering.
Alas, Netscape 8.0 not only failed to render the XML/XSLT transforms at
the site with IE rendering selected, but disabled any viewing of the
site on either the IE6 or Avant browser. Rendering continues to work on
Netscape 8.0 in the Firefox rendering mode. A bug report has been made
to Netscape. In the meantime, if you want to continue view the site on
IE6 or Avant, don't install Netscape 8.0.
[b-hebrew] Netscape 8.0 caution for Unicode/XML Tanach.,
