Would it be reasonable to suggest that Heber is related to Hebron, not
far from the identified site of Qain (en-Nebi Yaqin) in Judges 5:24? ...
This Arabic name is of interest to the question. It seems that Arabs
linked this place to a prophet (Nebi), probably considering it to be his
burial place, but the name of the prophet, Yaqin, is not the normal
Arabic, or Islamic, name of Cain, i.e Qabil, nor is it a simple
transliteration of the Hebrew Qayin. So, in Arabic tradition, who was
this Yaqin?
