On a Mac, try Mellel. It's only $30 and handles right-to-left and in fact
all non-Roman Unicode more smoothly than MS products on the Mac.
BTW, Mac OS X has different keyboard options built right in, so you can use
a quasi-phonetic layout, a modern Israeli layout, or simply pick from a
"character palette."
