Dear colleagues,
what is your opinion about the root &-L-M in Hebrew (and related
languages)? Are there three roots, i.e. &-L-M "to hide", N "to be
hidden"
&-L-M [<? G!-L-M] "to be dark" cf. Job 42:3
&-L-M [< G!-L-M] "to be strong / irritate" > &äLäM "young man"
as in HAL, or are there only two roots, which means that "to be hidden"
and "to be dark" derive from the same idea and root?
Best regards
Reinhard G. Lehmann
