saw your grammar was published: i hope the success hasn't gone to your
head yet. ;-) now that you're one of the big boys ... ;-)
you mention paucity of verb forms. i don't think the difference between
english and hebrew is "paucity". since most speakers have lost the
subjunctive, it's possible to argue english is form-poor....
but let me ask you: do you think it is possible to argue hebrew "hayu
kotevim" is a "verb form"? and in what way would it be different from
english "were writing" ...?
btw, are coming up for the SBL ...?
