Sure it's a good question. When an abraction is referred to
in BH such as here "belief" or "believing" the gender tends
towards the feminine. (See Gesenius section 122p-r). I have
noticed the common use of the feminine demonstrative pronoun
_zo't_ when referring to such abstraction, such as in Psa
118:23 in which _zo't_ and _hi' both refer to the
abstraction *choosing the rejected stone as the
cornerstone*.
