Just going on a complete tangent, here: Do you think the "us" in the name
Immanu-El refers
to the nation of Judah as a whole, or just to Isaiah and his band in
contradistinction to
Ahaz and his trustless royal family? I'm curious for people's opinions and
reasons.
Also, would a better translation perhaps be "A deity is with us"?
