Thanks for the post concerning blood and covenant.
In the NT, the word commonly translated "covenant" is DIETHETE which denotes
a "testament" as in "the will of someone, enforced after their death". What
we commonly call "a last will and testament" as opposed to a contract.
Does the Hebrew have any of that sense in the blood imagery?
