Greetings to all,
It is my understanding that the camel is said to be undomesticated before
the time of Abraham. However the account of Isaac and Rebecca refers to a
camel (gamel). I believe the assumption that camels were not domesticated
is based on the lack of illustrated camels found in Egyptian tombs. [There
is probably other evidence, but I do not know of it].
Can the Hebrew word gamal refer to another burden bearing animal?
