You suggestion is most interesting, but could you please clarify two points
before I respond more fully:
1. What exactly do you mean by "the modal analysis of the consecutives"? Do
you mean that the basic distinction between Hebrew verbs is realis/irrealis
rather than past/non-past or perfect/non-perfect?
2. What is the iou mean "mood + past = irrealis"? Do you have an example?
