I think the string you mention here does not represent a
whole syntagmatic structure. 2 Sam 16:5 and Jer 41:6 are
both participle plus participle constructions in which the
first participle has the infinitive absolute as pleonastic
object: qotel (qatol) + qotel.
BTW, when you respond to b-hebrew mail, would you mind
taking a moment to change the subject line from "b-hebrew
