turns out grad student in linguistics dept here is working on
consecutives in algonquian and cognates: interesting. but also very
convenient because it starts with "a": can talk about consecutives as
modal coordination, from algonquian to zulu, from a to z. very nice
how these things work out. ;-)
but clearly modal here too, morphosyntactically.
just thought i'd share.
