A couple of opinion questions regarding the text of 2 sam 15:27 and 32.
1- (from v. 27) how do you take <heb> ha roe'h </heb>? Is Zadok "the seer"
in the sense of "a spy"? If so, is the phrase <heb> ha roe'h </heb> used in
any other place with this meaning? If not, then what is the meaning here?
2- (from v. 32) Was there a "high place" or sanctuary of some kind on the
Mt. of Olives? Is this attested anywhere? If not, why would David go there
to pray?
Thanks for any opinions,
Jim
