hi
How was xAy (living, alive) thought to be pronounced in biblical
Hebrew---with a long "i" sound or a diphthong, "a-i?
Would anyone want to comment on the Ashkenazi pronunciation---is it
a long "i" or a diphthong?
irene
p.s Lloyd Barre, I do want to respond to an earlier post of
yours......
