Feel free to substitute "participle used as noun" in the question if you
wish.
Perhaps we can agree that the answer to What do you do? (as an
occupation) is "melammed `ibrith anoki" (Psalm 119:99), while the answer
to What do you do (habitually)? is (as you put it) 'elmad `ivrith (like
Ps 1:2b).
